>From now and for an unknowntime, at least for 3 years, I will not use any
>radio except the remote SDRs forDXing. Recently we moved from the village back
>to the city in a space thatprohibits the use of desktop DXing, a place flooded

Please note and spread the word - for those not on a
list where my almost-daily all-band but mainly SW log
reports appear -- or for those who are but find this a
more convenient archive, weekly merged roundups
of all these reports in their original form are posted
early every UT Thursday via:

** CANADA. 7850 RCUSB, July 17 at 0622, CHU back on now, S9. And
Richard Langley reports: ``Confirmed 7850 kHz back on again when I
checked this morning (17 July) at about 1115 UT`` (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)
** CUBA. 13780, July 17 at 1358, JBA in Spanish, RHC new frequency;
while 15230 is a JBA carrier. Chris Campbell got this from his contact
at RHC: ``RHC is trying a new frequency, 13780 in Spanish and I hope
in a few days they will have tests on other frequencies for the
English service.
The country is in chaos. Food, medicines, cooking gas, electricity,
public transport. Too many needs extremely hard to satisfy. I am
talking about the basics, no luxury at all. I am better than other
people my age and some days I have just one meal to leave something
for the next day, not to mention saving something for the kids``
And from Luis H. Esquivel in California at 1224 UT July 17: ``Good
Morning, I'm listening to RHC on 13780 kHz on one of my favorite Kiwi
SDR's in Lamont, Alberta Canada, http://72.172.110.98:8175/ My go to
SDR for being more local to me at the Mojave Desert California has
been offline lately so I went to my next favorite because of the
antenna system it uses and selected the 22m band and a strong signal
got my attention at 13780 khz and to my surprise is Radio Habana Cuba.
I'm recording it but hope you might be able to pick it up. Take care,
sincerely, Luis H Esquivel, K6LHE`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO
2304)

** U S A. 13605, 11930, 11860, July 17 at 1356 Grimesland open
carriers for R. Mart? which blasts programming by 1400 (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)
** U S A. 9395, July 17 at 1349, S5/S6 of open carrier/dead air. This
WRMI-6 is supposed to be 24h, with `Classic Redneck Radio` at this
time (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 9930, July 17 at 1350, WTWW already on with TOMBS. If now
24h, what is the switch time between 5920 & 9930; from 9930 to 5920
had been 0130, or earlier 0100?
Tony Pavick reports July 16: ``Regarding Overcomer on WTWW 9930:
I caught them this morning 1300 UT with and very good signal with
somewhat distorted audio, apart from the incredible caterwauling of
the singer on the Overcomer broadcast. My reason for mentioning it
here is that while the post here says 70 kilowatts, the WTWW top of
hour ID said 100 kilowatts. No doubt they are just using a previously
recorded ID. Tony Pavick, Hope BC``?
Yes, nominal 100 kW, but George reduces to 70 to save expenses, and
feels there is no difference to the listener (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 9265, Thu July 17 at 0620, S9/+5, screaming gospel huxter,
not // 5920 TOMBS, so not TOMBS? WINB extended schedule as
occasionally happens. What does program sked show? Effective July 13,
but not with this: still claims WINB Off Air, Thursdays 0400-1858! And
every day, except Sundays, off 0400-1158, Saturdays off 0400-1500.
Also 9265 JBA at 1348 July 17 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
