Myanmar ? Thazin Radio is heard well many mornings on 7345 kHz in a short
window between about 1045 and 1101 UTC. Their schedule says they come on at
1030, but it often seems they don't actually start until around 1045. From
about 1101, they're covered by the Chinese station CNR7. Sometimes the two can
be heard mixing together after that, and occasionally, Thazin is on top. CNR7
is also on 13770, so you're in doubt as to which one you're hearing, check the
parallel for CNR7. (Art Delibert, N. Bethesda, MD; Oct. 10, 2025; NRD-545
receiver and SAL-12 antenna)

Please note and spread the word - for those not on a
list where my almost-daily all-band but mainly SW log
reports appear -- or for those who are but find this a
more convenient archive, weekly merged roundups
of all these reports in their original form are posted
early every UT Thursday via:

** CUBA. 15230, Oct 10 at 1413, S4/S6 of dead air from RHC. No signals
on 15140 or 11760, but 13780 has S5 JBA music. By 1415, however, 11760
has cut on with S7/S8 music // weaker 13780. SAWA (Glenn Hauser, OK,
WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Oct 10 at 1930 RHC English is on, poor with squeal
into Maryland SDR; but gone by 1936 this 19-20 program. SAWA (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** KURDISTAN [non]. 11530, Oct 10 at 1414, militaristic music,
presumably Turkish jammer, S7/S8, but no sign of target Denge Gel
between 11500/11550, unless totally buried on 11530, unlikely (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** OKLAHOMA. 773 kHz, Oct 10 at 0619 UT, JBA carrier goes off as I
turn off the TV set, confirming its local origin. Turned back on, the
frequency swishes around a bit before settling on 773 (Glenn Hauser,
Enid, WOR)

** POLAND [non]. 5850, Oct 10 at 0716 `News from Poland` via WRMI,
also seems // on much weaker 7570, 7730, 7780. WRMI xmtr sked shows:
WRN 0700-0800 System E, on all those plus 15770, JBA too weak to tell;
and WRN sked shows PRES daily. But System E grid at 07-08 shows also
5800, 5950, 9455, 9955 which are not really on air and omits 7780.
Something`s odd at Okee (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)?

JBA,, `beklof` Fairmont NE.

420 MCW kHz, Oct 10 at 0625 UT, PK, 25-watt NDB at Olathe KS.

420 had always seemed the upper limit of the NDB band in USA, but
Hepburn & RNA lists show a few more on 423, 426. See also UNIDENTIFIED

5085 & 9475 back on the air. An expensive relay needs to be replaced.
One was ordered but never shipped. Another one didn`t work and blew

back on air by next week. On the other transmitter the spurblobs were
caused by dirty contacts, which he cleaned up fixing that, for now

SPAIN. 17715, Wed Oct 8 at 2158, REE JBA carrier direct, so we`re
out of luck for token weeklEnglish; even weaker JBACs on 15390, still
reactivated 15520 for ME but insuff backwards for us while `our`
frequency 15500 is still absent. At 2248 I try to confirm at least
that the English hour happened, but NO signals on any frequency into
NH, UTwente, nor Canarias SDR, but the latter is not getting much of
anything.

First at 0435 UT Oct 11 in a bandscan I am not getting *any* TA carriers, but
there is a big one on 1431 which much be closer, not only direct, but on a
remote in MO I just checked, so it`s not local to me. Please check out. I
imagine there may be some modulation/music on it?

I should add that unlike several weeks ago there is no match on 1469 implying
spurs out of a 1450, which was never traced. Nor any other plus/minus 1 kHz
carriers in top half of MW band. Glenn

Hello, is anyone there? Around 0500 I`ve DF`d it on the handheld DX-398 to
roughly east/west from Enid or slightly counterclockwise from that. First time
heard was 0425 not 0435. Glenn
