1 ? they reduced according their limited budget these days
to a single tx USAGE each bcast center, i.e. Tiganesti and/or Bacau
Galbeni.

2 - their US made Continentals are of 2008 year era erection, and
especially ONLY their ?one of three TXs at Tiganesti site north of
Bucharest
      failed ?now and then? sporadicaly.

After 18 year of daily usage, they produce some failures ?now and then?,

see for example
the 3 x Continental TXs at K-L Kajang Malaysia site usage,
of daily 9835 and 11665 kHz to Borneo / PHL target,

which reported by Mr. Jeff White (wrmi and hfcc.org representant)

during A-26 request frq conference convention at Kuala-Lumpur / ABU

combined of hfcc.org and ABU organizations, in January 2026.

73 de wolfie df5sx
wwdxc

ps the other 11885 and 15295 kHz RTM K-L test series
lately on shortwave happened instead
from the another 100 kW SW TX delivery firm Ampegon from Switzerland,
prepared during Kajang site 2 x 100 kW TX erection performance.

Regular RTM sce to Borneo eastwards azimuth of this
is adviced for March 1st ? hopefully.

Subject: Re: [WOR] Radio Romania International
Now after 1100 French with good signal on both 15300 and 17640 kHz.
Looks like these were again confusion caused by the replacement schedule, which
is still valid and published for example in WRTH Web App.
They replied:

The Romanian and English broadcasts complained about are listened to on the
7220kHz frequency (English San Francisco and Romanian Paris) of the defective
transmitter and for this reason they are not heard. Change to 17790 (English
Mumbai) and (6145 Romanian Paris).

Regarding the frequency 9510 (Spanish Caracas and English NY) and 7220
(French Montreal), I discussed with my colleagues on the site and there was no
technical problem. Most likely propagation.

We are happy and grateful that we are being listened to and we strive to
broadcast RRI programs at high performance.
Best regards, Mauno

  Hi Chris -
Thanks for responding. That?s been my experience as well. I know their
transmitters are failing which is too bad because RRI has put a huge signal
into eastern NA at least with both its NA and Euro services. I?ve gotten good
reception of their French service on 7220 many nights, but without explanation
the English and Romanian services are often AWOL.

I tried 9510 at 0100 tonight and noticed they were not on. I didn't
hear them last night at this time either. I have noticed this pattern for a
while. I thought maybe it was band conditions and/or reduced power for some
nights I could notice them amongst the noise floor. It seems to run for 4-6 off
then they will reappear for multiple days.

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8

** ARGENTINA [non]. 9455, Tue Feb 17 at 2300 and later, this WRMI is
OFF, so no relay; prop OK as 9395 is on. Finally recheck at 2320, it`s
on VG in Spanish phone interview, ``en La Noche de Radio Nacional, con
todo el pa?s`` so still domestic relay rather than RAE (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** BRAZIL. 28444 USB, Feb 17 at 2305, ZV1ES calling CQDX over and
over. QRZ.com: ``ZV1ES Brazil flag Brazil, LABRE - Liga de Amadores
Brasileiros de R?dio Emiss?o, Brazilian Amateur Radio League - LABRE,
1934 - 2026 * 92 years of LABRE commemoration, Brazil`` but below a
list of ZV1s, with suffices matching states such as this: Esp?rito
Santo (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** COLOMBIA [non?]. 1100.29, re presumed off-frequency carrier from
HJAT Barranquilla: in ARC mv-eko, Jorma M?ntyl?, Kangasala, Finland,
reported a different station on this skewed frequency, ``1100 4.2 0600
CMKQ R Angulo, Mayari. F?rsta g?ngen h?r jag en kubansk station p?
split-frekvens (1100,29). JM`` = ``First time I hear a Cuban station
on split frequency``

So I questioned which be correct; via editor Thomas Nilsson, he
replied,
``Hey, I know HJAT drift 1100,29. I have heard it several times. Here
is ID of R Angulo 1100,29:
http://www.kaapeli.fi/%7Ejmantyla/MP3/CMKQ1100.mp3
Jorma M.``

VP quality recording, but seems to ID as R. Angulo at 16 seconds into.
BTW, this name is pronounced an-GU-lo, not AN-gu-lo as the common
word. Further monitoring needed, especially near Cuba in daytime, and
DFing also at night (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Feb 17 at 2155, RHC music with windhowl, and tone,
S9+10/20. 11760, Feb 17 at 2301, S9+20 dead air, and 15140 S9+10/20 DA
with windhowl from RHC where something`s always wrong (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** ECUADOR. 6050, Feb 17 at 0730, no signal from HCJB. Had been
running overnight since first noticed Feb 10. Was it accidental, a
test, or what? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** NORTH AMERICA. 21500, Feb 17 at 2157, JBA talk, S5/S6 = noise
level, anti-Christ pirate, Station YHWH as first reported today at
2050 by Ron Howard, then also heard by Chris Smolinski, Eric
Fetters-Walp. I first discovered YHWH on 21500, January 1 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** TURKEY. 5960, Feb 17 at 2258, VOT not off the air, VP direct (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2334 monitoring: confirmed UT
Tuesday February 17 at 0330 on WRMI 7780, S9+20 into S Texas SDR. This
interrupted a speech by Little Marco: I have no idea what that
program may have been. Per skedgrid, at 0330, WRMI-13, 7780 switches
from red System F to blue System D. But the program grid does not show
anything on 7780 between 0300 and 0330 on D, F or anyother System. The
guero site attempting to make WRMI skeds ``human-readable``, is even
less helpful:
https://www.guerogram.org/home/schedules

Also confirmed Tuesday February 17 at 1407 the 1400 on WRMI 9955,
S7/S9 direct.

Also confirmed Tuesday February 17 at 1510 the 1500 on WRMI 9955, by
now deteriorated to S5/S9 direct.

Also confirmed Tuesday February 17 at 2100 on IRRS SW via AM Italia,
1332.997+, S9 into UTwente, cutting off Japan weather report from NHK.
Next:

0030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
0130 UT Wednesday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
2030 UT Wednesday SW Radio, Germany 3975;
2200 UT Wednesday WBCQ 7490v to WSW;
0030 UT Thursday WRMI 9395 to NNW;
0130 UT Thursday WRMI 5010 to S;
1730 UT Thursday SW Radio, Germany 3975 & 6160.

Thanks this week to Michael Beu, Austin TX, for a contribution via
PayPal in US funds but not necessarily, to woradio at yahoo.com and
says, ``Hey Glenn: Thanks for providing a valuable resource for DXers.
Have a great 2026``

One may also contribute by MO or check on a US bank to
Glenn Hauser, P O Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9930, Feb 17 at 1544, WTWW S9+45, overmodulated and
distorted wtih presumed TOMBS. SSOB by far (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 650 kHz, Feb 17 at 0743 UT, dead air at S7/9+ from WSM
Nashville. Still DA at further chex 0757, 0800+, 0837. All dozing at
WSM? Yes, it is the middle of the night, but if no one at WSM is
listening to it, how can they expect anyone else to? (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1040 kHz, Feb 17 at 2312 UT, Vietnamese YL mixing with WHO,
best on E/W loop. Got to be the only ETH/Viet listed in NRC AM Log,
WPBS Conyers GA, D1 50000, CH 5500 watts. This should be after sunset
there? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1090 kHz, Feb 17 at 2307 UT, trying to hear KAAY Little Rock
on day power and catch it cutting to 3.4 kW direxional at night. Now
there is gospel music, fading, but at 2311 discussing Rosary so likely
EWTN station KEXS Excelsior Springs MO. At 2343-2346 not much of
anything, as 2345 should be official sunset this month in Little
Rock.

OTOH, Terry Krueger told me Feb 16: ``They [KAAY] may be authorized at
3.4 kW nights but were still Bob Seger ?Still the Same? excellent
level this pre-dawn today here in NW Florida. ?Same as it ever was.
And look where my?? Talking Heads`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1150 kHz, Feb 17 at 2317 UT, WKDO? with traffic info for
I-12 and I-10, so got to be WJBO Baton Rouge LA, U4 15000/5000 (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1210 kHz, Feb 17 at 2314 UT, ``Sunny 103`` with call-in to
AC 901. Therefore, WMPS Bartlett TN, address in Memphis, U4 10000/250,
as ``103.1 Sunny 1210`` in NRC AM Log (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 1590, Feb 17 at 2310 UT, 573 AC for Dexter PD, sounded like
KVUN AM 1590, but per NRC AM Log, Dexter MO station is KDEX (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1130 kHz, Feb 17 at 0753 UT Spanish mentions 105.1 FM.
Cheater KLEY Wellington KS must be off for a change. NRC AM Log shows
no direct correlation between anything on 1130 and 105.1, let alone if
in Spanish. WTFDA FM DB shows several SS on 105.1 but no direct
correlation to relays of an 1130. See last night`s unID 1130, seemed
KSDO San Diego most likely, but no 105.1 correlation with that (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 13500, Feb 17 at 1548, S9+20 open carrier amid CODAR
swirshing, off by 1553 check. Mart? and WWCR frequencies modulating
where they should be, 13570, 13820, 13845 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

This report dispatched at 0021 UT February 18
