U S A 15555 USB, Feb 24 at 1546, no signal from WJHR. In fact,
have not hit it in some weeks on random daytime bandscanning,
supposedly scheduled 1358-2200 per EiBi. So is it ever on the air?

When I did hear it, I wondered whether only tnx to a sporadic E
opening from this glorified ham station. Last report I find was in the
Dec 21, 2025 NASWA Flashsheet, from Cichorek-NJ, but omitting time and
date! Last time I logged it was Sept 26, 2025 until 2203*, but surely
heard since, but ignored. At that time, I also noted it had been
missing until then. Note occasionally has been on 15550 USB instead.
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

*** Starting at 2300 UTC, here in southern/southeastern Brazil, many
Spanish-language medium-wave stations can be heard every night. On almost every
medium-wave frequency, at least one Spanish-language station can be heard. Even
where there are frequencies with signals from Brazil, those from other
countries can be heard by applying a slight rotation of a loop antenna. Not
only are we hearing stations from Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay, but now we
also receive medium-wave stations from Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia,
and not infrequently from the United States, Cuba, and others in the Caribbean
region without much difficulty. We are returning to a reality experienced in
the 1960s. The Brazilian stations, for the most part, have left the medium
waves (migrating to FM), and in those that are still on the air, it is
noticeable that they are operating with reduced power until their extinction.
In the matter of being listeners of medium waves, we cease to be merely Bra
zilian citizens and become considered South American citizens!!! (Rudolf
Grimm).

** CANADA. 15034 USB, Feb 26 at 1544, CHR Trenton Military finally
heard again after missing several days at random chex; flight weather
for Halifax, good S8 direct (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2336)

** CUBA. 11760, Feb 26 at 0732, S9+15/55 of dead air from RHC not
turned off hours ago. 15140, Feb 26 at 0733, JBA carrier. Something`s
always wrong at RHC (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. 15140, Feb 26 at 1545, RHC S7/S9 music JBM with windhowl;
15230 S7/8 JBM music without howl; also 11760 at 1548, good mod and
clear S7/S9. SAWA (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CUBA. Terry Krueger comments on the WOR iog: ``11880 CUBA RHC 2000
22 FEB 2026 - The best time to catch RHC in English here in NW
Florida, 2000-2100. Always local level and the one transmitter which
works almost flawlessly compared to the others. The same transmitter
is used for Spanish on 11760 at equal excellent level until highly
variable 1600-ish switch to 11880. Or sometimes, they don't bother to
switch and stay on 11760. Or sometimes, they never bother to come up
on 11880, like this day. Maybe Millennial Miguel (who never got to
learn "responsibility" from Arnaldo de Jes?s Coro Ant?ch) is on coffee
breaks when this happens?`` (VIA Glenn Hauser, WORLD OF RADIO 2336)

** NORTH AMERICA. 9025, I have not caught the `presidential pirate`
again, but Terry L Krueger certainly has. Following is solely from
him, and must be credited as such:

``Boggy, Florida Occidental, IC-R75, NRD-535, ICF-7600GR, ICF-7600D,
Tescun PL-360, active loop, random fence-stapled wire, misc. junk.
9025 NORTH AMERICA (MUTANT) 'Presidential Pirate' 1546 19 FEB 2026
(Thursday) The usual presidential speeches audio snips at tune in,
again noted up at 1608. Very poor today. And 1608+ 20 FEB (Friday) at
fair level. But again, no trace of this on 21 FEB (Saturday) or 22 FEB
(Sunday), building on my theory that if not active weekends and
federal holidays, the source is a defense contractor testing a new
transmitter on this USAF HF channel. And there it is, back on 23 FEB
1428 check (Monday). Didn't get a chance to much monitor on 24 FEB
(Tuesday), but up at 1718 25 FEB (Wednesday), on/off as usual. Same 26
FEB, 1429 (Thursday) up briefly as well as other times after. What I
never noticed is that de-tuning to 9024.80 USB has the carrier
seemingly constantly on`` (VIA Glenn Hauser, WORLD OF RADIO 2336)

** OKLAHOMA. 1680, Feb 26 at 1535 UT, JBA carrier wobbling at the rate
of about 5X per second, into home rig. Presumably Virtual DJ Radio
from other side of Enid, where I always hear it well on the caradio
but no BFO to detect the wobble (Glenn Hauser, Enid, WOR)

** TURKEY. 6125.003+, Feb 26 at 0453, VOT not off the air, signing off
in English, S9+25 into UTwente; 0454 IS to 0456*. The previous to NAm
Feb 25 at 2300 on 5960, had been missing (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 299 MCW kHz, Feb 26 at 0744, HW, ND beacon at `Cubla`,
Wilmington OH, 25 watts, as first heard exactly 4 days ago. Wilmington
is between Cincinnati and Columbus (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 305 MCW kHz, Feb 26 at 0745, RO, ND beacon at Roswell NM,
and no sign of OI Sioux City, vice versa the case 48 hours ago (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2335 monitoring: ``Richard Lemke,
St. Albert, Alberta, Canada, From the desk of Richard?s listening
Post, Radio: JRC NRD-535 HF, 1995, (31 years of service), Antenna:
random long wires in the trees. WRMI, World of Radio #2335:

9395 kHz, 0130-0159, February 25 UTC no signal heard [Wed],
9395 kHz, 0030-0059, (4-55433), February 26 UTC clear sound [Thu],
(Lemke, Richard -AB) 73?s, Richard 8:54 am February 26, 2026``

Confirmed UT Thursday February 26 at 0030 on WRMI 9395, S9+20 into
N9AZZ IL remote.

Also confirmed UT Thursday February 26 at 0135 the 0130 on WRMI 5010,
S9/+35 but noisy direct.

Not confirmed Thursday February 26 at 1730 on SW Radio Gold, Germany,
3975 & 6160 into UTwente; rock music instead as expected from
`Talkmusik auf Kurzwelle!` test; however program sked for today and
next four weeks still shows CQ-S Thu at 17-18 including WOR at 1730.

Confirmed NEW time of 0030 UT Friday February 27 on WRMI 5950, VG
direct. Perhaps in following weeks will have new WOR ready to air by
this slot ASAP, rather than final repeat on WRMI.

Thanks this week to David Costa, Jacksonville FL, for a contribution
via PayPal in US funds but not necessarily, to: woradio at
[email protected] and says, ``Thank you for so many years of
information for short wave listeners``

One may also contribute via MO or check on a US bank to: Glenn Hauser,
PO Box 1684, Enid OK 73702 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 5085, WTWW has received replacement parts, George McClintock
tells me, and expects to be back on air by Saturday Feb 28, not not in
time for the original WOR scheduled time of UT Sat 0400; possibly will
run it UT Sun or Mon at 0400? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 9330, Feb 26 at 0729, WBCQ is off again, and also at 1539.
So I asked Allan Weiner: ``Yesterday Feb 25 at 2322 UT = 6:22 pm EST,
I was hearing Portuguese on 9330, S9+20/30 on my generous meter, but
as before, ``non-solid`` signal off the side of your 170 beam toward
Brasil. But later in evening and since then, no signal on 9330. Can
you confirm this was WBCQ? I assumed it was, but also occurred to me
that WLC might have got some time on some other transmitter but on the
old frequency. So what is the outlook for full WLC service on your
9330 resuming? Tnx, Glenn`` - 24 hours later, 9330 is not back on
again, 2333 check Feb 26 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2336)

** U S A. 7505, Feb 26 at 0738, gospel huxter in English, S9+20/40
direct, another unpredictable WRNO extension (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 15555 USB, Wolfgang Bueschel replies to my inquiry whether
anyone has been hearing WJHR, with what may be his latest? log: ``USA
15555 USB single sideband audio encoded, WJHR Milton FL, sermon on
homo sexuality theme, En screamer male sound, media block 15554.4 to
15558.2 kHz, on upper flank. S=9 at 15.23 UT, Oct 15, 2025 (wb df5sx,
via wwdxc BC-DX TopNews Oct 21, 2025)`` (via Glenn Hauser, WOR)

** U S A. (1070), Feb 26 at 0600 UT, I`m monitoring the KHMO Hannibal
MO stream, khmoradio.com/listen-live/popup/
to determine whether the `Scott Jennings Show` playback I had been
hearing before 0800 was from KHMO or something else. 0601 CBS news,
0607.5 Alex Marlow show starts; but at 0707.5, yes, `Scott Jennings`
claiming to be live following SOTU. Yet the defunct Charlie Kirk still
appears on the KHMO program websked (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 91.5, Feb 26 at 1604 UT, as I am bandscanning for Es FM DX
from Florida/Cuba, KSNS Medicine Lodge KS signal is enhanced enough to
make it clear that its music is in mono, not $tereo; it`s on the Smile
FM network from all over Michigan. WTFDA FM DB does not specify mode
as mono. IIRC I have sometimes found the $tereo pilot on (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 9100 CW, Feb 26 at 1537, beeps every 7.5 seconds, i.e.
carrier on & off, steady rate of 8X per minute. What`s this? (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 87.75 MHz, Feb 26 at 1602 UT, something in Spanish into
caradio tuned to 87.7 and also 87.9 but less audible. A trace of music
at 1609. I hastened to car after seeing on DXMAP sporadic E FM DX
being reported up to 99 MHz from OK to Lakeland FL, including 91.7
KOSU. Quick bandscans of bottom half of FM dial do not find anything
other unusual, and tropo from KS is somewhat enhanced.

WTFDA FM database shows on 87.7 only one FrankenFM in Spanish, and
it`s Florida: ``WEYS-LD 87.7 MIAMI FL SPANISH RELIGIOUS ALMAVISION
6035 3.0 kW H&V 232.0 m 25-58-15 80-12-32 Spanish 3D44 WEYS87.7
Almavision radio -Comprometidos con la verdad Religious Talk`` By
1730, DX opening to Lakeland has moved further south from Texas, then
outpeters below FM band.

Or could it be Cuba? Did not hear enough to determine whether
Christian or Commie, but WRTH 2026 page 771 implies that Cubavisi?n is
still on analogue 6 in Habana with 129 kW. If I enter Enid and Habana
on distancefromto.net, it shows 13395.69 km to an Habana on the
Queensland coast! No, not that one!
``Habana is a coastal rural locality in the Mackay Region, Queensland,
Australia. In the 2021 census, Habana had a population of 1,022
people`` ---
Specifying OK and Cuba: 2095.3 km = 1301.96 statute miles, so quite
possible in single-hop Es range (Glenn Hauser, OK, WORLD OF RADIO 2336)
