** CHINA. 15775, May 22 at 1444, weak Chinese S4/S5, about equal to
15770 WRMI. EiBi & Aoki show Sound of Hope *jammed at 2130-1600.
Nothing on the other side 15765 now: had been Iran International TV
via Bulgaria (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** CHINA. 17820, May 22 at 1454, S4/S6 of talk in unID language, the
SSOB vs JBA carriers on 17735 & 17790. This has been reported a lot in
the past week, but no 17820 in EiBi. Aoki shows it`s the Dongfang,
Hainan site at 2155-0800 with CNR11 in Tibetan, Chinese, except for
weekly maintenance break Tuesdays at 05-08; and then CNR13 in Uyghur,
Chinese, at 0800-1805, so at 1454 would be in Uyghur (Glenn Hauser,
OK, WOR)

** U S A. 880, May 22 at 0644, Spanish is equal to or overcoming KRVN;
only ID I can catch is ``La Raza``. Guess what, no USSS stations
listed by that name. Broad search leads to both WIJR IL and WMDB TN
but their main names are La Tremenda on WIJR 880 Highland IL, U4
1700/160; and La Ranchera on WMDB Nashville, U1 2500/2 watts. WIJR
more likely as both day and night patterns favor the SW meward from St
Louis area. To rival 50 kW KRVN, surely WIJR on day power. As heard
via tunein.com and seen, what WIJR says is ``La Tremenda, La Estaci?n
Que Est? al Cien con La Raza`` -- to the one hundred? I guess that
means 100% racist; or not exactly. But one could hardly imagine an
Anglo/English station unashamedly billing itself that way; or for that
matter, Black. ``La Raza`` in more of an ethnic sense than purely
racial (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

** U S A. 97.1, May 22 at 0119 UT, CCI, including baseball, Wichita,
YL meteorologiste, 0120 ``97.1 Bob FM``. That`s KBOB, Haven KS, 18.5
kW, 251 m. Don`t recall hearing this before; Haven is SE of Hutch on
the way to Wichita; not to be confused with South Haven which is on
I-35 almost on the Oklahoma frontier. There was a big Es opening over
eastern N America, and I was hoping it would shift a bit westward as
often happens, but never got to me in a semihour of tuning. At 0143
it`s a silly BB game involving Cleveland, I suppose not direct from
Ohio (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 1260, May 22 circa 0700 UT, not hearing any Spanish like
24 hours ago, just a trace of KWSH OK in English among others. So was
the SS an anomaly? the two adjacents are normally dominated by
Spanish: 1250 KYYS Kansas City KS, ex-WREN/KFKU; and 1270 KFLC
Benbrook TX or KRXO Claremore OK (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)

UNIDENTIFIED. 21530, May 22 at 1452, JBA talk is the OSOB. Nothing but
SOH and jamming listed, but at 2300-1300 only. But guess what, in HFCC
is an imaginary English trihour from Sa`udi Arabia on 21530 at 10-13
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
