This is always at one end of my `9 MHz` bandscans, last time logged was April 27: see that date for more info. Probably lasted a while longer, but unless I log it absolutely every time heard, cannot know exactly when it stopped (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) ** EAST TURKISTAN. 9710, July 4 at 0010, S6/S7 Chinese music - can it be CUBA relay instead of RHC? The noise bursts every second across much of the SW spectrum had ceased by 0630 UT check July 4, still off 1530. I did a walkaround the neighborhood the previous afternoon, without any perceptible change in strength, but it was *too hot* to keep walking in all direxions. Hope it stays gone! During Es FM DX bandscans July 4 from 1752 UT, I inevitably run across some OK observations. The new 93.1 translator of 1390 KCRC is still on, but a couple local FM signals are off again, 91.1 KKRD and 105.5 K288FX. This implies they are at the same transmitter site with periodic power? problems. I had thought 105.5 were quite different, tallish tower at a private residence near E Randolph and 30th, but WTFDA FM DB does show identical G.C., i.e. the decrepit Broadway Tower in downtown Enid: KKRD 36-23-57 97-52-48 K288FX 36-23-57 97-52-48 These availablize some othersigs on or next to their channels. 91.1 at 1753, bluegrass, likely HPPR or the other Kansan near Wichita. Now it has ACI from the other Air1 on 90.9 in OKC. 105.5 at 1756, CCI but one ad for Lancaster, diamond jeweler off Memorial Drive. Broad search leads to the Lancaster in OH; but that should be ruled out because of a 105.3 translator there. FMDB finds Lancasters with FM stations in all these states: WI, CA, PA, NY, OH, TX, KY, WI, NH, SC. This would have to be in a city near a Lancaster, but none on 105.5. Ideas? 91.3 at 1759 ``KAKO Ada-Oklahoma City`` during anti-trans talk. Ada is pretty far to be hyphenating-OKC.
