** U S A [and non]. Sporadic E FM DX underway July 5, high MUFs east
of here on DXMAP, paths starting to reach OK. Standard boilerplate
applies about all times UT, my DXing methods, not counting station
totals or anything, many likely if not absolutely IDed. Listings
quoted from the excellent WTFDA FM Database. Distances are
city-to-city, not site-to-site, approximate, from distancefromto.net
FYI and do not imply a log is necessarily definite. I join on caradio
in garage at 1807 UT.
92.1 at 1811, preacher atop rock et al., unlikely from my area.
94.5 at 1808, VG country music countdown at #20, VG to deep fades; by
1815 #21, so count up? Maybe WBYZ 100 kW, as below at 1838.
94.5 at 1817, ad with phone number 404-882-3558, seems not same as
previous station. 404 is Atlanta GA area. The 94.5 in Atlanta itself
is W233BF, a 166-watt translator of WWSZ 1420, but slogan Streetz
94.5, which also applies to two other 94.5s, including WIPK, the most
powerful at 6 kW in Calhoun, which is more than halfway to Chattanooga
to the NW of Atlanta. At 1818, Shelton Fireworx ad at exit 70 of some
interstate, in Alabama: search on that leads to Cusseta AL, on I-85,
SW of Atlanta just across the border, which is closest to the third
station in the group, WFDR-FM in Woodbury. Are Georgians obliged to
buy fireworx out of state?
No other 94.5s in either state fit, so one or more of:

94.5 at 1820, Straight Talk Wireless, which appears to be a
national/Verizon brand; 1821 weather from a ``Georgia meteorologist``,
risks of vaping; 1822 weather from The Weather Channel, so a different
station?
94.1 at 1824, song in Spanish, but then English mentioning Georgia,
``-- 94``; at 1829 ``Star 94``. That is:

the NW corner.
95.3 at 1830, $ hymn overcomes KOKC translator. If we`re still in

87.7 at 1833, soft rock music in $tereo, not Spanish. The only

92.1 at 1835, baseball game. No explicitly sports format in GA.
94.5 at 1838, Ozempic ad, mattress starting at one sesquikilobuck!,
sped up disclaimer, a red flag: ``don`t buy this!!``, Ozempic again.
If not same as initial group above since we are further into GA, could
be this, the only full power in state:

At 1840-1900 I have to suspend for lunch.
92.1 at 1904, baseball game, mentions Oklahoma State, Stillwater, but
very strong peak seems Es, not GW.
95.1 at 1916, CCI to OK/KS, mentions S Carolina; something in Moncks
Corner, which is near Charleston; at 1918, ad with AC 843 which is
Charleston area; ``low country``:
WSSX-FM 95.1 CHARLESTON SC CONTEMPORARY HIT RADIO 95SX, HIT MUSIC NOW

Suspend at 1924, DX seems dying out. Recheck at 2001: 94.1 Lawton OK
has JBA CCI mentioning Santa Rosa Beach, Florida. It`s in the
panhandle between Destin and P?nama City Beach. Nothing further heard.
Pensacola is near:
WMEZ 94.1 PENSACOLA FL RHYTHMIC CHR HOT 94.1 73256 77.0 kW 488.0 m
30-36-41 87-36-26 74D9 1191/740.
Now it`s UT Monday July 6, another session, at first not clear from
wheres:
97.3 at 0052, iHeart plug, ``97.3, the Valley`s only lite rock`` among
CCI. FMDB has no such slogan. There are valleys everywhere; could you
at least name this one?? But broad searching on slogan and frequency
leads here:
https://mix973wheeling.iheart.com/
Therefore this is:
WKWK-FM 97.3 WHEELING WV ADULT CONTEMPORARY MIX 97.3 73193 50.0 kW
128.0 m 40-05-49 80-42-06 1156 WKWK FM 97.3 Mix 97.3 WKWKFM Adult Hits

Must be referring to the Ohio River Valley, which is pretty long;
really? only lite rock? How about stations not *in* valley but nearby
with that?
94.1 at 0107, plug Canada player app, ``94.1 CKOC`` - I could swear
that was the ID, but no such station, rather since 96.5 to come is
