BULGARIA. 5890, July 5 at 0241, algo JBA direct; must be Iran Int`l
TV as in EiBi at 19-04. Not blasted away by WWCR now on 5890 for only
2 hours M-F at 02-04 per program sked now dated July 1; tho #4
transmitter available on 5890 daily from 02 to 12.
(Glenn Hauser, OK,WOR)
U S A. 5129.9, July 5 at 0640, must be WBCQ, S9+20/30 direct but
just barely modulated. Was also on this late last UT Sunday, why?
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
U S A. 7505, July 5 at 0638, WRNO still on with gospel huxter in
English, S9+30/35 direct with some hum.

WBCQ is still on 6160 instead of 7490, at 2325 UT July 6, so World of Radio at
2330 Monday should also be on 6160 instead of the usual 7490 as in my advance
schedule postings. Glenn

DX/SWL/MEDIA PROGRAMS
updated July 7
http://www.worldofradio.com/dxpgms.html
** JAPAN. 17800, July 6 at 2215, Japanese at S9/+10, much stronger
than 17790 WRMI, despite NHK 17800 at 305 degrees direct from Yamata
per HFCC, nowhere near thisaway (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** OKLAHOMA [and non]. 780, July 6 at 2227 UT, KSPI Stillwater off the
air, but JBA carrier in daytime, possibly WJAG Norfolk NE if not WBBM
Chicago.
During unproductive FM bandscan for Es, as someone in SoCal had been
getting Okies; at 0032 UT July 7, besides the weak Bott in KS on 94.3,
I copy ``proving that inmates can run the asylum, Mix? 94.3`` Or Kix?
Maybe that was really ``Pete 94.3``, i.e. KSPI translator, since AMs
can be temporarily? absent yet still ``relayed``. The only other
possible Mix 94.3 would be KDEM, 3 kW in Deming, the far side of NM,
yet pretty close, and WTFDA slogans it rather ``The Mix`` (Glenn
Hauser, OK, WOR)
** TURKEY. 11785, July 6 at 2220, JBA carrier direct, presumably VOT
failing to reach deep North America (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. Correxion: this item I typoed 15570 instead of
correct 15770. Note: WRMI is NEVER on 15570. Unless a punch-up error,
but does not seem to happen at WRMI, where each frequency is
`hard-wired` into specific transmitter and antenna. Even I can err. --
so fix it, like:
``WORLD OF RADIO 2353 monitoring: confirmed Saturday June 27 at 2230
on WRMI 15770, S9+10 into Maryland SDR...`` (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2354 monitoring: confirmed Monday
July 6 at 1958 the 1930 on SW Radio Gold, Germany, 6160.000- S7 and
3975.000+ S9+10 into UTwente.
Also confirmed Monday July 6 at 2330 on WBCQ 6160 -75 Hz = 6159.925,
S7/9 into NH SDR, after a sesquisecond deadair when previous program
finished earlyish. Yes, WBCQ still here with `7490` schedule, since
that transmitter is still off the air. Germany 6160 is off air by
then, but I am getting something in English into UTwente - not me, but
CRI as scheduled this hour only via Kashgar (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 780, UT Mon July 6, happened to tune to WBBM at 0537 UT when
mentioning that StarDate was coming up - and so it did at ``40 minutes
past the hour``, 0540, never uttering *which* hour. So this is an hour
earlier than usual 0640 UT, when some other item aired. I understand
that multi-hours of evening ``news`` are played back as ``olds`` later
in night. Remains to be heard whether 0540 on Mondays will continue,
and how about UT Sundays when it is never heard at 0640 either?
Timechex in the nightmiddle are sometimes a few minutes off, so there
may also be some editing in the meantime (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. 100.3, July 7 at 0028 UT, weak signal IDs just as I tune
across, hunting for sporadic E DX: ``103.3 The Ride`` by YL. WTFDA
FMDB finds only this:
KRDQ 100.3 COLBY KS HOT AC THE RIDE 37124 100.0 kW 186.0 m 39-28-50
100-54-34 3D42 Title & Artist 100.3 THE RIDE Adult Hits --
With the turbulent overheated troposphere, fringers fade up and out a
lot much like signals via the ionospheric E layer, making weaksig prop
hard to differentiate. Colby is in the far NW corner of KS whence KRDQ
is not normally heard, 433 km = 269 stmi (Glenn Hauser, Enid OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 11512-11565 approx., July 6 at 0621, multi-tone,
multi-carriers beating against each other, peaking S9+18 amid. What is
this? Woe betide any broadcaster attempting to emit within against it
(Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. 104.9 MHz, July 6 at 1635 UT while bandscanning for
sporadic E, I encounter a weak but fairly steady signal here with a
South Asian accent, something about an astrology website, mentioned
Ishtar? Unusual format especially for OK, certainly not EWTN/RCC. I
check WTFDA FMDB on all the 104.9 OK and KS listings, where one
possibility stands out: KYOM-LP, a 50-watt community radio station in
Wichita of which I was unaware and never heard before. Found their
website, but no complete program schedule on it:
https://www.kyom.org/about
so I attempt to enquire via email. First one on the website I try
bounces, so then try another, no answer yet. Email outmoded for some,
but I refuse to communicate via FB or other social media (Glenn
Hauser, Enid OK, WOR)
UNIDENTIFIED. Not getting any 87+ MHz Es FM DX, so I check 6 meters on
the R75 with non-VHF loop antenna, July 6 at 2206. 50125 USB has a JBA
QSO in English; and traces of a beacon JBA on 50072; at one fade peak,
call seemed to start with X-, which around here means Mexico. I
haven`t found a current 6m beacon list, but two which may be outdated,
neither showing a Mex around here:
https://mivus.org/?page_id=27
HAS two on 50072 but neither Mex, nor nearby nor any call with an X
https://www.colmgt.com/RADIO_BEACONS.HTML
lots more but still no hits; as of 2013?! Can anyone suggest a better
current reference for 6m beacons? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
