This week on Hardball we've got Barnicle filling in for Chris (who's out on
assignment)...We'll do the bin Laden stuff with Yossef and possibly another
specialist...OBL's guy released an audio tape threatening America and warning us to
fasten our seatbelts...He also says bin Laden and Mullah Omar are alive and
well...I'll let Yossef pick it up tonight...Time magazine has some interesting numbers
out also on what Americans think of a possible fourth of July attack...We'll run those
by pollster John Zogby..
We'll do the crime on the rise story with a law and order type or two...I think we got
John Timoney (Fmr. Philly police commish). The number of major crimes in the United
States increased last year for the first time in a decade, bringing an end to a
decline in violence that had resulted in the lowest crime levels in a generation,

Al Qaeda tape vows attacks on U.S., Israel...The al Qaeda terrorist group yesterday
released a new audiotape that says it is planning more attacks "against American and
Jewish targets" and that also says its leader, Osama bin Laden, is alive and well.
