The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Hardball superstar/NBC congressional correspondent Norah O'Donnell broke the news this
morning that Senate Democratic leader is not, repeat not, running for President...But
the big story tonight is Bush's big speech in Chicago today outlining his economic
stimulus package and tax cut...Needless to say, we'll do a major "slice and dice" of
it...What does it mean for you and for your family? What's the Dem response? How much
cha-ching will you get back in your wallet? We'll play the hot sots (sound on tape)
from today and Daschle's response..
Plus, the 108th congress is coming back into session today (Chris and Mortman are
actually up there kicking it and checking out the swearing ins)...We'll take a look at
some of the mischievous they may be up to (the Members of Congress, not Chris and
Mortman)...For the sake of your child's college fund and their future, you need to
watch Hardball tonight...
We'll lead the show with McCain and then come out with a fun, fast paced and quite
colorful exegetical with Cramer and Kudlow...(Yes, Cramer is the Caddell of
economics..btw, was Caddell en fuego last night or what? He and Terry were really
getting into it pretty heavy...great stuff...hope you caught it)
In the D block debate, we'll do SUVs...Some radical environmental groups are setting
them on fire or get this, putting feces on the handles of some in Georgetown...Are
they a threat to the environment? Are they a symbol for conspicuous American
consumption? We'll get into it with Cato's Jerry Taylor....
In the buzz we'll do fmr. Fla. Rep. Joe Scarborough and Katrina on the latest USA
Today-Gallup poll...Despite all the hoopla over Bush's tax elimination on corporate
dividends, Americans support it!
And Grandma, you'll be pleased to know I'm working on getting Michael Savage on the
show later this week...Watch this space for more details..

offering a sweeping package of tax cuts and incentives that would eliminate all
federal taxes on stock dividends, quick tax relief for married couples and a
