Vanity Fair released an interview today with a rather compelling quote from Deputy
Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz..."For bureaucratic reasons we settled on one
issue, weapons of mass destruction because it was the one reason everyone could agree
on."

Wolfowitz also said another unnoticed but huge reason for toppling Hussein was getting
the troops out of Saudi Arabia...

Pretty explosive stuff...We've called Wolfowitz's office for comment and will roll it
on the show along with the author of the Vanity Fair piece, Sam Tanenhous to give us
more color and detail...

A nice compliment to today's front page Washington Post piece: U.S. Hedges on Finding
Iraq's Banned Weapons...Bush administration officials admit that the expansive case
made to justify war may take a while to prove. (The Washington Post)

body of the baby found near that of Laci Paterson (Connor Peterson).

The coroner's report on Connor Peterson's body indicates the body may have had
effectively a noose around its neck

The report found: "one and a half loops of plastic tape around the neck of the fetus"

who refuses to remove her burka to pose for a driver's license...

driver's license to a Muslim woman unless she is photographed without her veil

100th birthday...We'll give him a nice shout out tonight...

Hope springs eternal, or pretty darned close. For most of a century - he turns 100 on
May 29 - Bob Hope has moved through life with the breezy grace and buoyancy of a
casual champion, much like Daniel approaching the lion's den, confident of the
outcome. http://www.msnbc.com/news/603050.asp

Terry's latest piece: No more Nasiriyahs...An engagement that took place in Nasiriyah,
Iraq, on March 23 may reveal whether the Republican Party is now ready to engage in
serious cultural combat here on the home front.
