            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------

Looks like we're doing Kobe big time tonight...He's due in Court tonight at 6 pm
eastern and MSNBC will cover it live of course...We've sent Matthews to the showers
and Barnicle's in the chair...Actually Chris is doing some fun stuff with his Sunday
show I can't tell you about...You'll have to tune in...

We've got an ensemble of legal/sports types to give us some major league slicin' and
dicin'...Tacopina's in as is Access Hollywood's Pat O'Brien...Pat hosted that Teen
Choice Awards show that Kobe was at the other night...

And did you hear the latest? Arianna's officially running for Governor out in
California...It's gettin' crazy out in the Golden State...Comedian Gallagher and
Hustler mag publisher Larry Flynt will be on the ballot as well...Also, Arnold's doing
his big Leno interview on the "will he or won't he" question...We're expecting to get
a press release around 7:30 pm so we'll be doing that in the D block half hour
segment...

We're still working out how we're laying out the back half but we've definitely got
Lawrence who, btw, has a new show on Saturday nights around here
http://www.msnbc.com/news/937609.asp

Fund's in the mix and we've got some other calls out...Bob Mulholland, that wild Dem
strategist is in as well...He was that dude last time calling all the pro-Recall folks
"clowns."...We may even thrown in Arianna...It'll be a circus just like the Recall
ballot...

Plus, we've got hot sound from the AFL-CIO Dem Forum last night...Shuster's been all
over it all day and I've asked him to put some of the more pungent bites together for
the Buzz and Battle for the White House blocks...Also, Springer is going to make an
announcement today on his possible Senate bid...

Too much fun to not show up folks...
