Looks like we're leading with Joe Biden on Iraq and the President's big speech in "da
Lou"...That's what rapper Nelly calls our hometown of St. Louis...The administration
has begun a fresh PR offensive on the state of Iraq this week and President Bush picks
up the baton this afternoon at an American Legion convention...

"He will talk about fighting the war on terrorism, the importance of winning that war
to the United States and to the world," White House spokeswoman Claire Buchan told
reporters on Monday.

We'll roll the hot sound of course...

Senator John Sununu will play defense as he just returned from Iraq...

Are you fed with rising gas prices? Been doing a lot of cross country driving this
summer with the kids? Got a girl across the country you need to see regularly? Then
this segment is just for you...We'll talk to Jim Cramer who's just as ticked off as
you are and he'll share his outrage with us tonight...

You want him you got him...Jerry Brown's in the House tonight to get into the latest
from the California scene...Arnold spokeman Rep. David Dreier (R-CA) will throw in his
two cents for good measure...

Still working on the Buzz block...All the media glitterati elite seem to have taken
off to the Hamptons or Nantucket...Not to fear though, Jim Warren of The Chicago
Tribuen will bring his unique brand of wry wit and borderline political satire...Jim,
btw, personalizes his voicemail greeting on his office phone and gives a daily weather
report for Chicago..It's great...

Cronkite: We [journalists] reached our intellectual adulthood with daily close-ups of
the inequality in a nation that was founded on the commitment to equality for all. So
we are inclined to side with the powerless rather than the powerful. If that is what
makes us liberals so be it, just as long as . . . we adhere to the first ideals of
good journalism. http://www.sltrib.com/2003/Aug/08102003/commenta/82548.asp
