has begun a fresh PR offensive on the state of Iraq this week and President Bush picks
up the baton this afternoon at an American Legion convention...

to the United States and to the world," White House spokeswoman Claire Buchan told
reporters on Monday.

Tribuen will bring his unique brand of wry wit and borderline political satire...Jim,
btw, personalizes his voicemail greeting on his office phone and gives a daily weather
report for Chicago..It's great...

Cronkite: We [journalists] reached our intellectual adulthood with daily close-ups of
the inequality in a nation that was founded on the commitment to equality for all. So
we are inclined to side with the powerless rather than the powerful. If that is what
makes us liberals so be it, just as long as . . . we adhere to the first ideals of
good journalism. http://www.sltrib.com/2003/Aug/08102003/commenta/82548.asp
