            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------

Hardball airs at 7, 11 & 2 am eastern and 4, 8 & 11 pm pacific on MSNBC

If you missed last night's 10 pm et special: Hardball's "everything you wanted to know
about the Recall but were afraid to ask" we're re-airing it tonight at 9 pm et so
those hoping to catch Abrams at that time will be pleasantly surprised by this
programming update...You'll want to check it out if nothing else to see the cool set
Chris is on in Santa Monica...He's right on the beach outside the Shutters hotel and
there's a carnival behind him. No Joke. We also threw in some cool bumper music with
a California theme (Zep's "Going to California" and LL Cool Jay's "Going back to Cali"
for example) and Chris doing some MOS (man on the street) comments...And for you old
school Redford fans, Chris does a little diddy with clips from "The Candidate" at the
end of the broadcast..

Also for those just checking in with us, the election night jamboree begins at 7 pm et
tomorrow night on MSNBC and continues until 2 am et with Chris...Scarborough takes
over from 2-5 am (I pity those producers) for you night owls...

As far as we can tell this election looks locked up for Schwarzenegger but who know
what will turn up in the last 24 hours or so?...Btw, Arnold told Tom Brokaw yesterday
that he'd address those groping allegations in more detail after the election...So
this story may have some "legs" as we say in the biz...

We'll catch up with the candidates on the final 24 hour push to the finish line and
bring you the latest from the Davis and Arnold camps as well as the general mood of
the electorate..

For you Ann Coulter fans, heads up...We'll debate whether Arnold is good for the GOP
or not? Will he expand the party or turn off the base? Will he help Bush in '04?

In the Buzz we'll test drive tomorrow night's election panel: Howard, Peggy &
Lawrence...Ben Stein will also join the fun...
