            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------

Tonight Hardball coverage of today's primaries in AZ, MO, DE, OK, NM, SC & ND runs
from 7 to Midnight Eastern and then 1-2 am Eastern (no joke folks!) Keith is doing
Midnight to 1 am ET...In other words: "Until the Last Dog Dies"

For those of us who are Hardball junkies, this is a huge night...Gather the family,
break out the TV trays, strap yourself in and get ready for the political ride of your
life...7 States, 7 Candidates...Who will be left standing at the end of the night?
Doe's Kerry have it locked up? Will Lieberman bow out? Will Clark surge and take
Oklahoma? Can a South Carolina win for Edwards propel his campaign to further
victories elsewhere? What ever happended to Dean's invincibility? So many questions
and we've got the answers from the smartest political minds in the business...Folks if
I wasn't stuck in the office until 2 am I'd be more excited about this...Obviously I'd
like to be hangin' like you at home with my feet on the couch chillin' freestyle...

We've got Dean's fmr. Campaign manager Joe Trippi on board as an MSNBC election
analyst, Ron Reagan Jr., Scarborough, Jacques De Graff, Dee Dee, Pat (Buchanan) &
Howard plus a smattering, a bevy, dare I say a cornucopia of candidates, their top
satraps, key governors, strategists, hangers on and just plain TV personality
types...If you thought Super Bowl Sunday was big folks, wait until you see
tonight...We're not just serving sizzle, we're serving steak...

Several big themes to keep top of mind tonight: President Bush's military service in
'72-'73 and the fight brewing there...Plus, Kerry's attack on special interests and
his possible glass house on the matter...Also, how will the lack of Iraq's WMD play
out on the campaign trail?

Maybe Wesley Clark Jr. saw the early exit polls. For whatever reason, he's standing in
front of a crowd of reporters outside Clark's campaign headquarters in Oklahoma,
looking bitter and sounding as if he thinks his father's campaign is over. "It's been
a really disillusioning experience," the candidate's 34-year-old son says. "We
