The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Hardball airs tonight at 7p, 11p, 4a ET & out west at 4p, 8p & 1a PT
Big news today as Condi agrees to testify in public under oath...Bush & Cheney will
testify jointly but not under oath (Don't ask me, I don't know what that means
either)...We focus on this for the hour and how this will all shake out politically
with Commissioners Jim Thompson (R) & Richard Ben-Veniste (D) from the Commission plus
an update on the day's news from David Gregory on the White House's north lawn and
Lisa Meyers from the Bureau
We'll also get reaction from a couple of Hill veterans, Anna Eshoo (D) from California
and Dana Rohrabacher from California...She's from the Northern Silicon Valley area
around San Mateo County, Woodside & Stanford...Rohrabacher is from the southern
LA/Orange County, Huntington Beach area...
Then we wrap it up with Tony Blankley and Washington Wiseman David Gergen slicing and
dicing the White House's handling of this....
And finally David Shuster offers up two distinct packages tonight...One on the latest
ad wars and the other on the latest political tomes to hit the book shelves...
And don't forget...Richard Clarke tomorrow for the full hour...Chris is flying up to
New York to do it...This is definitely one of those "must see"
interviews..."Unpredictable" as Chris said on Imus...Maybe you've seen him on other
shows, but you know good and well that we're not like other shows...

Mortman: Clarke's creative writing...In his new book, Richard Clarke heads straight
for the politicos. He gets real juicy - liberally taking pot shots at President Bush
while heaping praise on President Clinton. And he makes pop political references,
which some might find odd for a counterterrorism czar.
