Another crazy production day at Hardball as Campbell performs her guest hosting swan
song tonight...Next week Andrea fills in...

We lead with the latest from Baghad, where U.S. forces have launched another assault
against Zarqawi's safehouse...We'll talk to CPA spokesman Dan Senor...

We'll also talk to Kerry surrogate Wesley Clark...

Guy Womack, the lawyer for accused Abu Ghraib prison guard Spec. Charles Graner will
discuss the latest in the prison abuse case...

Fmr. weapons inspector David Kay stops by to chat about Iraqi WMD and takes issue with
Wolfowitz's remarks on Hardball the other night...He was appointed by the Bush
administration to look for Iraqi WMD...And guess what folks? He says they ain't there!

Finally, Shuster looks at the "go f--- yourself" remark by Dick Cheney to Sen. Pat
Leahy and examines other salty language used by politicians past...

We then open the floor up to Newsweek's Howard Fineman and The Hotline's Chuck Todd to
slice and dice Cheney, Wolfowitz's apology to the press, the latest from the campaign
trail and the veepstakes...It'll be an old school "political buzz" type segment...

Plus, a new feature we're rolling out. "The Kerry Campaign Report"...Pretty original
huh? NBC News campaign reporter Felix Schein will check in once a week from the Kerry
campaign and give us the lowdown...Tonight Felix calls us from the Kerry campaign
plane on route to New York...

Btw, Briefing friend Dan Rene e-mailed us the definition of "rip snortin'" for those
interested: "Something extraordinary : HUMDINGER <the finale was a ripsnorter>" Thank
you Dan...
