A lot of controversy has surrounded this book...Chris tries to get to the truth and
find out what, if any, part of this book might change voters minds this November.

Here's a little aperitif from Sy's book to get you started..."When Abu Ghraib scandal
broke, a senior Republican Party operative 'learned that Cheney had telephoned Donald
Rumsfeld with a simple message: No resignations. We're going to hunker down and tough
it out.' Hersh writes, 'Cheney's concern was not national security. This was a
political call - a reminder that the White House would seize control of every crisis
that could affected the re-election of George Bush.'" (Page 361)

Way to go Keith! The countdown to the No. 1 sexiest male newscaster ends with ...
Keith Olbermann - at least according to a Playgirl magazine online poll. The host of
MSNBC's nightly Countdown with Keith Olbermann had linked his Web site to the Playgirl
Web site and urged viewers to vote for him. The strategy worked: He came away the
winner with 24% of the 50,000 votes cast. (AP)

A curious quote from Vice President Dick Cheney on the atrocity in Russia a couple of
weeks ago: "Previously Russia hasn't always been as supportive, with recent
circumstances, would Russia take a more aggressive stance and continue to fight
terrorism with us around the world?" Cheney said, "You know, there's been a, in some
circles, in Europe for example, some of our European friends have been somewhat
ambivalent about this whole proposition with respect to how we deal with terrorist
attacks. I think some have hoped that if they kept their heads down and stayed out of
the line of fire, they wouldn't get hit. I think what happened in Russia now
demonstrates pretty conclusively that everybody is a target. That Russia, of course,
didn't support us in Iraq, they didn't get involved in sending troops there, they've
gotten hit anyway."
