Tonight on Hardball we get the latest on the breaking news out of bin Laden's
world...He's got a new audiotape out airing on Al-Jazeera...The headline:
Boycott the Jan. 30th elections in Iraq and al-Zarqawi is the top Al-Qaeda dog
in Iraq...We'll talk to fmr. Secretary of State Lawrence Eagleburger about the
latest OBL jeremiad, the latest violence from Iraq and later tag team him with
California Rep. Dana Rohrabacher....Rohrabacher (R) is back from the Ukraine

refuses to concede defeat and wants to take the matter to court...Sound
familiar?...We may even ask them about that tragic earthquake/tsunami in
southeast Asia...

David Shuster has a spot throwing together a veritable political potpourri of
recent news of note (Washington state gubernatorial recount, Rummy on the ropes
and Bush's big second term legislative agenda)...In the back half we bring in
MSNBC political analysts Monica Crowley and Ron Reagan to chew it all
over...I've also thrown in the topic of the presidential second term curse
(think Nixon & Watergate, Reagan & Iran-Contra, Bill & Monica) for added fun
and excitement...

We wrap it all up tonight with liberal economist and New York Times columnist
Paul Krugman on the economy and the troubled airline industry...What does it
mean for you?

Since Chris is on holiday this week, Pete Williams fills today and
tomorrow...Andrea subs Wednesday & Thursday...On Wednesday Andrea chats with
the co-chairs of the 9/11 Commission, Tom Kean and Lee Hamilton...On Friday
we'll re-air Chris' gripping trip to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, "A
Soldiers Journey Home"..
