Chris takes the field tonight for the Washington Nationals home opener (We
haven't seen professional baseball in this town for 34 years!)...Yes, we
realize it's a local story but it's a big deal around here and we'll keep the
conversation on a fun and generalized level for enjoyment by families all
across the country...
On our show from RFK stadium we'll have a long talk with Senator John McCain
whose team, the Arizona Diamondbacks, is facing off against the Nationals
tonight...We'll ask him about the game, the steroids controversy and the return
of "Hanoi Jane."
We'll also chat with Kentucky Senator Jim Bunning, a former Major Leaguer and a
Hall of Famer to boot! I'm sure Chris will ask him about his memories of
playing in the majors and what it means that the DC hasn't had a major league
team in 34 years...
Chris will also get a better sense of the team and the pressure of a home
opener for a new team with the Nats interim GM Jim Bowden..
Shuster rounds out the show with the latest installment of disabled vets in
Aspen, CO...
I urge your viewing participation in this unique and creative production of
Hardball...
