            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------

Tonight on Hardball we'll talk to a special woman whom President Bush singled
out this week for praise at a speech in Idaho...Tammy Pruitt's 5 sons and
husbands are serving in Iraq and Bush quoted her as saying: "'I know that if
something happens to one of the boys, they would leave this world doing what
they believe, what they believe is right for our country. And I guess you
couldn't ask for a better way of life than giving it for something you believe
in.'"

A marked contrast to Cindy Sheehan indeed...We'll talk to her about her
family's mission Iraq, what it means to her and what she thinks of Cindy Sheehan

US President George W. Bush contrasted a military mother whose five sons and
husband have served in Iraq with anti-war protestors he said risked emboldening
terrorists.

David Shuster brings us the compelling story of Stephen Siller, a 9/11 hero who
gave his life as a firefighter trying to save others...Siller's family and
friends started an annual race in New York City to honor his memory, 9/11 and
to benefit a Children's Foundation in his name...The man's story is told in a
new public television documentary which David previews in a nice package

And you've no doubt heard a lot about "Able Danger", that double super secret
military intelligence unit that allegedly had targeted the 9/11 ringleader,
Mohammed Atta, a year before 9/11...Could 9/11 been prevented? We'll talk to
one of the guys who was involved in the operation...Here's some back ground

We'll also check in with BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) Commission
chairman Anthony Principi on why Walter Reed medical hospital is being
consolidated with Bethesda Naval...A commission reviewing proposed closures of
U.S. military bases today rejected the Pentagon's recommendation to shut down
Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota, handing a political victory to a
freshman Republican senator who had cited his clout with the Bush
administration in unseating the Senate's top Democrat last year.
