            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------

Thanksgiving apparently did nothing to satisfy Special Prosecutor Patrick
Fitzgerald's appetite...for information! News hit this weekend that Fitzgerald
has asked yet another reporter, Time's Viveca Novak (no relation to Bob Novak),
to testify in the still ongoing CIA leak investigation. Fitzgerald reportedly
wants to know about Novak's conversations with Karl Rove's attorney Robert
Luskin -- chats that happened after the investigation was already underway.
Hardball's David Shuster will sort out what this could mean for Rove, and
former federal prosecutors DeMaurice Smith and Beth Wilkinson will explain what
Fitzgerald is up to!

And, brace yourselves, some of the best minutes of our 60 minutes tonight will
be Chris' interview with reporting icon Mike Wallace of CBS News. Wallace will
talk about why he thinks Rove won't let him interview President Bush along with
all the super stories found in his new book titled "Between You and Me." You
don't want to miss it.

Tom DeFrank of the Daily News and John Fund of OpinionJournal.com will be here
to dive deeper into the latest developments in the leak probe as well as the
current mood inside the White House.

Chris also will talk with Rep. Tim Murphy (R-PA) as he returns to the U.S.
after an unexpected stay in a hospital in Germany over the weekend. Murphy was
one of three congressmen in a military vehicle that overturned on a Baghdad
road on Saturday night. He'll tell us all about what happened.

Plus, MSNBC's Norah O'Donnell will brief us about the president's border
security speeches in the southwest today along with some excerpts from her
dynamite interview with Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff.

All of this is happening tonight on Hardball!
