The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Is this the change that critics have been calling for? White House Chief of
Staff Andy Card announced today that he will resign his post on April 14th. As
Card said thanks and farewell, President Bush announced that Card's successor
will be Joshua Bolten, currently director of the Office of Management and
Budget and formerly a White House deputy chief of staff. Here's an AP recap:

Tonight on Hardball, Chris will discuss the impact and fallout of the
announcement with NBC News' Chief White House Correspondent David Gregory.
Chris will talk about the political implications of the change with MSNBC
Political Analyst Pat Buchanan and Rodney Slater, former transportation
secretary in the Clinton Administration.
Plus, as the illegal immigration battle continues to shape up on Capitol Hill,
Sen. Mel Martinez (R-FL) will be here to talk about whether Congress can reach
a consensus. Here's more on that from the AP:

Chris also will talk about the change in White House leadership and the ever
evolving dynamics of Decision 2006 with Hardball Political Analyst Bob Shrum,
