The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Hello Hardballers.
If you care about politics, the only place to be today is MSNBC. Not only do
we have the first Democratic debate of 2008, but we have all day, all night,
pre-game and post-game coverage. And we're live until 1:00 a.m.
The Democratic Presidential Candidates Debate is live from South Carolina State
University in Orangeburg, SC. http://www.scsu.edu All eight Democratic
presidential candidates will be there -- Biden, Clinton, Dodd, Edwards, Gravel,
Kucinich, Obama and Richardson, with Brian Williams moderating. The debate
begins at 7:00pm ET. But leading up, MSNBC has a full day of political
coverage. And at 5:00pm a special Hardball College Tour live from the SCSU
campus. Chris Matthews will talk to Elizabeth Edwards, wife of Democratic
presidential candidate John Edwards. And he'll interview the third
highest-ranking democrat in the House of Representatives, Congressman Jim
Clyburn (D-SC). http://www.majoritywhip.gov Tom Brokaw will also talk to
Chris, about the significance of tonight's debate and the historical
significance of debates in choosing the next president. Plus, we've got the
Washington Post's Eugene Robinson, The Chicago Sun Times' Lynn Sweet and
Newsweek's Howard Fineman, all sharing their expert insight with Chris. All
day and night on MSNBC, it'll be a cavalcade of candidates, pundits, reporters
and strategists. You won't want to miss a minute, so stay tuned to MSNBC and
check out www.msnbc.com for live blogging from our team of Hardblogger
