The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Two days into the Hardball Campaign Ad Challenge, we already have some great
entries. If you haven't started yet on your campaign spot, then don't worry
because there's still time! Today, we are pleased to introduce our all-star
panel of judges for the challenge: MSNBC's Joe Scarborough, Washington Post TV
Critic Tom Shales, Hardball Political Analyst Bob Shrum, Washington Post.com's
Chris Cillizza, National Journal's Linda Douglass, former Bush/Cheney Advisor
Ron Christie, NBC's "TODAY" show producer Noah Oppenheim, and "Hott4Hill"
writer and star Taryn Southern. Go to http://hardball.msnbc.com for more
details on how to send in your own ad.
Tonight on Hardball, Chris talks with Pulitzer Prize winner Judy Miller about
terrorism and the latest warnings of the National Intelligence Estimate. Win
Without War's Tom Andrews and Move America Forward's Buzz Patterson will be
here to talk about whether the Senate accomplished anything with its all-night
debate on Iraq.
NBC Political Director Chuck Todd will break down the newest tv ads from Bill
Richardson (on Iraq) and John Edwards (featuring Elizabeth). And in light of
Elizabeth's recent remarks about Hillary Clinton, we'll have two top advisers
for the Clinton and Edwards campaigns here to debate whether Elizabeth is
right: is John Edwards a better advocate for women than Hillary Clinton? Kate
Michelman, adviser to the Edwards campaign and former NARAL president, and Rep.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL), a national co-chair for the Clinton campaign,
will duke it out. Here's the latest from the Des Moines Register:

Plus, all of today's big news with the Hardball Roundtable: New York Magazine's
John Heilemann, Newsweek's Susannah Meadows and the New Republic's Michael
Crowley.
By the way, did you hear that Lance Armstrong Foundation announced today that
it will host A Presidential Cancer Forum, featuring presidential hopefuls from
both parties, next month in Cedar Rapids, Iowa? Stay tuned for more details
about who will be there.
