            The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------

Three big headlines for you tonight:

1) The Hardball Campaign Ad Challenge is gaining more steam with more
submissions, more excitement and more anticipation for which ads the all-star
judges will pick as the best. Here's more information on how it works and how
you can get in on the fun: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036697/.

2) Filmmaker Michael Moore is the special guest in Hardball Plaza on Monday for
the full hour at 5 PM ET! He'll be taking your questions about "Sicko," 2008
and much more. If you're in D.C., then come join us for the full hour.

3) Actor & Unity08 spokesman Sam Waterston is also our special guest on Monday
for a pre-taped edition of Hardball Plaza at 3:30 PM ET. He'll talk about how
Unity08 will pick their bipartisan ticket and why he thinks it can win. So come
out early on Monday to see two great guests for two great shows: Sam Waterston
and Michael Moore.

Tonight on Hardball, Mike Barnicle sits in for Chris and talks to Clinton
campaign surrogate Lt. Gen. Don Kerrick (Ret.), a former deputy national
security advisor, about the war of words between the Pentagon and Senator
Clinton over plans to bring U.S. troops out of Iraq. Was the Pentagon's
response political? Is Clinton using this to boost her bid?

Beyond the fight with the Pentagon, the Clinton camp is also beating back
charges that she's not a strong enough advocate for women from Elizabeth
Edwards. Today's Washington Post addresses a whole new angle: Clinton's dress.

Radio talk show host Melanie Morgan and Democratic Activist Naomi Wolf, a
former advisor to Vice President Gore, will talk about whether all of these
fights help or hurt Hillary's campaign.

Also tonight, Salt Lake City Mayor Rocky Anderson (D), will talk about why he
wants to end the Iraq War immediately and impeach President Bush. He'll also
talk about why he considers Mitt Romney a former friend.

Former Reagan Justice Department official David Rivkin and Air America
President Mark Green will be here for the Hardball Debate: has President Bush
taken executive privilege too far?

Plus, the Hardball Panel: MSNBC Political Analyst Hilary Rosen,
HumanEvents.com's Terry Jeffrey, and Newsweek's Susannah Meadows. They'll dig
into Hillary's fights, Rudy Giuliani's distancing from the Bush Administration,
and our Vide08 moment of the day: West Virginia Senator Robert Byrd (D)'s
emotional Senate floor speech about the alleged dogfighting ring run by NFL
star Michael Vick.
