The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Pres. Bush called on Tehran to "come clean" about the scope of its nuclear
program today despite new intelligence indicating that Iran halted its weapons
program four years ago. Is the Bush administration's hard-line policy on Iran
justified? We'll hear both sides of the debate from MSNBC's Pat Buchanan and
fmr. Defense Dept. official Frank Gaffney.
Fmr. U.N. ambassador and '08 candidate Bill Richardson will also join us later
in the show to talk about U.S. foreign policy toward Iran and the upcoming
primary elections.
Next, Fmr. Gov. Mitt Romney (R-MA) will deliver a major speech tomorrow
addressing his Mormon faith. Can Romney put to rest questions about his
religion as then-presidential candidate John F. Kennedy did in 1960? The
Washington Post's Richard Cohen and fmr. Gore speechwriter Kenneth Baer will
compare the candidates' circumstances and preview Romney's address.
We'll then discuss these stories and the latest primary polling with Newsweek's
Holly Bailey, Salon's Joan Walsh and the National Journal's Ron Brownstein.
And, be sure to tune in at 10am ET tomorrow morning for live coverage of
Romney's speech anchored by "Hardball" Host Chris Matthews.
