The Hardball Briefing On MSNBC
------------------------------------------------------
Tonight: a bombshell in Bush-world!
Former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan's new book slams the
President and what he calls a "political propaganda campaign" used to sell the
Iraq war. What new insight do we have about the administration? Was there a
concerted effort to mislead the public about the war?
Tune in tonight for Hardball's special report on the McClellan memoir. We'll
bring you reaction from former White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer and a
look at the so-called propaganda campaign with NBC's Chief White House
Correspondent David Gregory and the Politico.com's Mike Allen.
McClellan also says Karl Rove and Scooter Libby deliberately misled him about
their involvement in leaking the name of CIA operative Valerie Plame.
Hardball's David Shuster covered the CIA leak case and will have the full
report on these new developments.
Plus, how will McClellan's memoir affect the 2008 race? Could McClellan's
claims be a problem for John McCain? We'll have that story and more during
tonight's Politics Fix.
