Arden --

This is exciting!

Once Terry completes the integration of ESIObjects with OpenVistA, my
goal is to create an OpenVistA VivA live DVD that includes ESIObjects.
I have already spoken to Terry about this, and we await the work he is
doing on the integration. Once he completes the integration and has a
set of routines and a database for me, it will take me a weekend to
create a new OpenVistA VivA.

Meanwhile, work progresses on an OpenVistA VivA live DVD that includes a
demo database (i.e., medical histories for fake patients, medical
histories of real patients scrambled to prevent their identities from
being discovered, or some combination thereof). A preliminary live DVD
was created over the holiday weekend, and it confirms that I can create
bootable live DVDs. However, the routines need work.

The nice thing about a live CD/DVD for a classroom is that you can boot
it and run it on just about any PC in any classroom.

An OpenVistA VivA that includes ESIObjects may be a little ambitious for
the fall term, but Terry and I will keep you posted.
