Yeah, I'm confused. Here is a log: [EMAIL PROTECTED] kdtop]$ su - Password: [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# hostname -s hostname: Unknown host [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# hostname kdtop.somedomain [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# hostname -s hostname: Unknown host [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# hostname kdtop.tmgdomain [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# hostname -s kdtop [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# hostname localhost.localdomain [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# hostname -s hostname: Unknown host [EMAIL PROTECTED] root]#
It gets confused when I specify the name to be localhost.localdomain, or kdtop.somedomain, but seems happy with kdtop.tmgdomain. Puzzling. I guess its not that important, but it would be nice to be able to get it to work. Kevin --- "K.S. Bhaskar" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Yes, it is a Linux configuration issue.
