All you hard working standards people, please do not take my complaints personally, but ...
It may be a messaging standard, but it seems planning to export that data would do a great deal to moving VistA toward interoperability, so it seems frankly nuts to work on anything that does not specifically work toward what is in development now. So if this is confidential, can I be justified, even if I do join this committee, in telling my team what is in it so they can prepare for it? I think not. Frankly, joining this committee is not what I seek (I have more than enough on my plate already), whereas openly getting the information is. Too bad I can't make a FOIA request!
