What I meant is that the recordsize may need to be set larger, i.e., the key 
size is limited to 255, not the record size, and you might be able to fix it 
with GDE.  The record size in my installation is 4000.

However, my knowledge is very limited.  This is largely guess work on my 
part. ;-)
