Joseph Dal Molin has been pursuing this possibility with them already, and I suspect he will bring us up to date when he sees your email. Apparently they do not think the port from the Mac OS will be all that difficult, (see here for instance http://developer.apple.com/unix/ ) but it would likely require investment from some hospital or other institution that would otherwise have to spend a lot of money purchasing a proprietary product, such as Accusoft to get VistAImaging going. Besides the port, it would require investment for overcoming the FDA regulatory hurdles. It is not clear to me, however, that those viewing images for diagnostic purposes requires overcoming the FDA hurdles, so for that, it is probably only a MAC vs Linux or Windows issue that needs to be dealt with.
