Printing is such a basic part of this software.  I am amazed that HUI
did not have any working devices as part of their OpenVista.

This printer issue has been a recurring theme on the Hardhats mailing
list, so perhaps someone (hint for a volunteer) can combine Kevin's and
Fil's explanations into a newbie level document for Cache/Windows and
GTM/Linux 
printing.   

Fil is terrific at writing newbie level stuff  ( witness the
installation instructions on the HardHat's web site) so I hope he will
do the Cache part of it.  Kevin, I have a bunch of printers I use in a
weeks time, some parallel ports and some networked and some USB, so I
might be a good guinea pig for testing your GTM explanation. Fil, I can
likewise test yours with Cache if you wish. 
 
So far I have managed to avoid printing anything from VistA, so I should
be a relatively good newbie tester of the instructions.
