My router uses the term "DMZ" to indicate a computer
'outside the firewall.'  It means that any signal that
would otherwise be blocked is automatically sent to
the DMZ computer.

You might have a problem if your computer gets a new
IP address from the router every time it boots up
(i.e. dynamic IP addressing), as you would have to
change the IP address of the DMZ computer each time.
