What do you want in ^TMG?

e.g. s ^TMG=""
or s ^TMG=x,^TMG(0)=y,^TMG(0,1,0)="something else, like a string",TMG(x)=y

There is NO difference between setting a global and setting a local, eg TMG.

If you are building a new FileMan file, there is also the option of setting
that file's content into a particular Global location, such as ^VA(200, etc.
