Luke, Not to be a wet blanket here, but I wasn't impressed with VistA's scheduling module. It text based (not GUI). Also, most offices (I believe) combine scheduling with their billing software. And VistA is insufficient in that area as well. So our office has chosen to use VistA as a medical record package, but not as a practice management package.
