VistA Community Meeting Planning - Boston, April 7-10
Maury has posted a message on hardhats about the upcoming VistA Community Meeting to be held in Boston on April 7-10 sponsored by Intersystems.  More details will be forthcoming and next weeks meeting will begin to define the agenda.

Alliance of OpenSource Advocates
Tom Akerman talked about finding other opensource advocate organizations and banding together to support VistA as a solution for the proposed Nationwide patient record by the Bush Administration and Dr. Brailers office.  Tom will work with Rick to form a response to the Center for Health Transformation headed by Newt Gingrich to see if an alliance could be developed.  Also per the discussion, posted below some of the responses available on the web to HHS's NHIN RFI which may or may not be Opensource.  There were over 500 responses, so this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Continuing...  a weekly VistA Community conference call will be held Friday at Noon Eastern Time.  Anyone involved with VistA is invited.  If you have a topic you would like added to the agenda, send it to Claudine at: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
