[Hardhats-members] Introducing OpenVistA SemiVivA FOIA Gold 20050212

OpenVistA SemiVivA FOIA Gold 20050212 is the SemiVivA package of the "gold standard" FOIA VistA released on February 12, 2005. Effective this release, the numbering system for OpenVistA FOIA Gold releases is being changed from 0.1, 0.2, ... to reflect the date on which the VistA software is released on the FTP site of the US Department of Veterans Affairs.

Please note that the distribution file is incorrectly named OpenVistASemiVivAFOIAGold20050212.iso, when it should have been named OpenVistASemiVivAFOIAGold20050212.tgz. As a practical matter, the file name does not matter.

To use the software on an x86 GNU/Linux system, as root, assuming that the software is /Distrib/OpenVistASemiVivAFOIAGold20050212.iso:

  cd /usr/local
  tar zxvf /Distrib/OpenVistASemiVivAFOIAGold20050212.iso

Thereafter, to use it, as a normal user, type:

  /usr/local/OpenVistA/vista

Note that this script expects the Xdialog to be installed (neither GT.M nor VistA require it; only the script /usr/local/OpenVistA/vista). If it is not installed, you can download Xdialog from http://xdialog.dyns.net.
