I wouldn't knock WMA/AVI too hard because MS is smart and they made the
encoder free.  But if you have any basic movie editing or video
recording software, it should do MPEG - and that's generic enough for
everyone without costing any coin.

What are you recording?  Your PC screen or actual Video?

As for linux, or co-linux, or vmware....
Have you  all thought about "qemu"?
It is supposed to be pretty good.
The only thing is.... I really don't want to run windows at all.
My personal belief... is that it is a security hole, rather than has
security holes.  

Also... is there anyway to put the seminar on how to set all this up
online... streaming video, or divx, or even... gasp... windows
media...(NO NO NO forget I said that).

Not just for me... I am going to try to attend... but it would be a
really nice archive for future setter uppers.
