My name is Clinton
Daniel and I am a graduate student majoring in Management Information Systems at
University of South Florida (USF) in Tampa, Florida. I have recently been
approved to begin a project at USF with another graduate student along
with a phD student to analyze and design
a Health Information System (HIS) using a completely open source
platform. I have chosen the OpenVista project as the ideal choice for our
analysis. I also currently work for the VA as an IT specialist so I have
a great deal of knowledge of how an existing Vista system works, but I
am ALWAYS learning.
I have done a great
deal of research to seek all available resources currently available on the
internet which can provide useful information to analyze and build a
Vista system. Hardhats.org has been an outstanding resource,
especially their mail messages.
It appears that the
12th Vista Community Meeting (based of histrorical documentation) will
be a great environment for myself along with my colleagues to learn more
about OpenVista.
How much
does it typically cost to attend this meeting? Will there
be training available at this meeting to assist in the build
and implementation of an OpenVista system? What is the typical attendance
of these meetings? On World Vista's
web site the meeting is posted on their calender, but I don't see any indication
for further details. Does anyone have any suggestions?
