I know what I am doing in many OS (Linux, Windows, other *ixs) and I can't figure what I need to do to make the latest VivA from the open vista pages in sourceforge. I have live-DVD and it boots up knoppix just fine. I want to "run" the application using my usb thumbdrive. I fire up a shell, cd to /usr/local/OpenVisa and then run ./vista I pick "run" from the dialog box and then nothing happens for a very long time. Then a dialog box pops up asking me for a directory. I tried /mnt/sda1 (my usb drive). I get an error saying that /mnt/sda1/d/..... missing
