Thanks for your suggestions below. The one issue about scp'ing the data, though, is that I would have to have an "scp server" running on the windows box. I don't know how to set that up. I have downloaded a program for windows, pscp that can pull the data from the linux box when run on the windows box. It would be nice to be able to push it though.
