Richard - I believe the MPI is integral to VistaWeb as VW's primary mission is to gather patient info from across all hospitals/clinics nationwide in the VA. Using the MPI is what makes it so quick. It should be possible to tweak the code to make this work on a single non-VA site though I'm not sure exactly what that will entail. If I get a chance I'll take a look at that issue.
