This enables lookup by abbreviation to have preference over lookup by name, but it is not a lookup by abbreviation only. It seems to me to be a desirable permanent change for this file.
One thing I recommend to anyone outside of the VA making permanent changes to VistA data definitions is to record your changes in some sort of log file with explanation external to Vista so that you can understand and recreate them at a later date on a new installation or upgrade.
