Nancy, strange as it may seem there does not appear to be a key needed to
Register a patient.

I think Mark's data is not in the right format.

A patient name has to consist of at least

LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME

None of his inputs satisfies the input transform

Enter name in 'LAST,FIRST MIDDLE SUFFIX' format, must be 3-30
characters in length.

I suspect you need to have the keys necessary to register a patient.  

Use D Q^DI and choose Option 1, Edit file 200, the New Person File, Edit the

field Secondary Menu and add DG PATIENT REGISTRATION for a secondary menu
for 
yourself.  

Then using D ^XUP choose the Option "All The Keys" and see what keys your
user 
needs, add them and then try registering a patient again.
