That may work. The problem, of course, is that this code is intended
to update the ROUTINE file, not select routines. Beyond that, the
syntax (if any) for excluding namespaces is system dependent. The
right thing to do is to provide better platform independent tools
(whether or not ^$ROUTINE is used).
