If that doesn't work, if you need to stop it try stopping it using D Q^DI, Option 1, and edit RPC BROKER status from Running to Stop. Use ?? and it will tell you the options. Then go back in and change it from stopping or whatever it says until eventually you get it to say stopped. Then I think you can successfully stop Taskman and get out of there.
