I believe the point to be, how does this ONE piece of technology integrate with the other technology used to provide medical services, and how can we ensure it's not abused.

After all, this *attempts* to simplify the authentication issue, where TWO of the following THREE items are required:  1) Something you KNOW  2) Something you HAVE and 3) Something you ARE.

To a naive person, this SEEMS to provide both something you HAVE, with something you ARE by implanting it in you.  The problem with that is, since these will be so cheaply produced, how do you ensure the system's not being gamed, in the light of the reliance of just ONE piece ( something you have ) .

Of course, there's the flip side... How do you restrict access to YOUR transponder?
