Until a week ago or so ago I had a web accessible demo of it connected to one of the OpenVistA distributions (semiviva 0.4) up on one of the servers in my office. Unfortunately, the server died and is waiting to be rebuilt or you could simply point your browser at it to see quite a bit of what I talk about on this list. I will try to get that running again this weekend or early next week. Meanwhile, you can download the most recent m2web snapshot from https://vmacs.vmth.ucdavis.edu/userpages/jaself/m2web/ There are quite a few new general developments in VMACS that haven't yet been extracted out to M2Web. One is a point-and-click interface for constructing adhoc formats for database queries. This downloads data dictionaries as needed in Javascript Object Notation (JSON) for client-side presentation and quickly responsive interaction. If you like working with Perl, you might be interested to know that we now have a Perl to GT.M interface that exposes MUMPS globals to Perl applications as data objects with methods like set, get, kill, merge, exists, haschildren, sub, next, prev, first, last, query, children, etc. (see https://vmacs.vmth.ucdavis.edu/userpages/GTM/GTM-PERL-doc.html) This is actually independent of M2Web but I plan to include it in the next release very soon. So far, it has only been used by its author (Steve Zeck) so be aware that it is very new and not fully developed yet. I just noticed in looking at it just now that a few important commands (LOCK, TSTART, and TCOMMIT) haven't been implemented yet. I am very interested in the possibilities of building higher level data objects on top of this. --------------------------------------- Jim Self Systems Architect, Lead Developer VMTH Computer Services, UC Davis (http://www.vmth.ucdavis.edu/us/jaself) ------------------------------------------------------- SF.Net email is Sponsored by the Better Software Conference & EXPO September 19-22, 2005 * San Francisco, CA * Development Lifecycle Practices Agile & Plan-Driven Development * Managing Projects & Teams * Testing & QA Security * Process Improvement & Measurement * http://www.sqe.com/bsce5sf _______________________________________________ Hardhats-members mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hardhats-members
